Amazon.com Inc. AMZN, +3.14% opened its second New York City Go store on Park Avenue in Manhattan early Tuesday morning. The 1,700-square-foot store will offer ready-to-eat meals and snacks, Amazon meal kits, and brewed coffee and espresso. The first New York City Amazon Go store opened in May. Amazon also announced that it will shut its restaurant delivery service, Amazon Restaurants, in the U.S. on June 24 after four years. The GrubHub Inc. GRUB, -0.80% and Uber Eats UBER, -3.51% competitor failed to take off domestically or in the U.K., where it was terminated late 2018. Amazon stock has gained nearly 24% for the year to date while the S&P 500 index SPX, +0.47% is up 15.2% for the period.
