President Donald Trump will announce an executive action on Thursday to continue his fight to include a citizenship question on the 2020 U.S. Census, according to reports. Trump tweeted he will hold a news conference in the afternoon to discuss the census and citizenship. Last week, Trump told reporters he has “four or five ways” to add the question. An executive order would likely be met with another round of legal challenges. The Supreme Court ruled last month that Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross didn’t provide an adequate reason for why the question was necessary.
