Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said Monday that time is running out to complete the replacement for the North American Free Trade Agreement this year. “If a deal cannot be reached by the end of this week, I do not see how USMCA can be ratified in 2019,” the Iowa Republican said in comments on the Senate floor, referring to the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. Earlier Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said there are still issues related to enforcement of the agreement that need to be worked out.
